Archäologisches Freilichtmuseum Zeiteninsel (DE)
TheZeiteninsel ("island of times") will have five "time stations" which will provide insights into 11,000 years of the human and history of the area. The museum is located in Hessen, Germany.
The time stations will be the Mesolithic, the Neolithic, the, the and the Germanic Roman Iron Age. Each station consists of both buildings and fields (apart from the Mesolithic) and is placed into the reconstructed of the relevant era. and demonstrations are part of the concept. works at the site started in 2010 whereas planting activities according to the available archaeobotanical evidence have been in progress since the fall 2011. In the summer of 2014, the first time station of the Germanic Roman Iron Age will be built which will include a farm house and other buildings like a pit dwelling and a storage building. The is expected to open in 2015.
