Archeopark Prášily (CZ)
The Keltoi association is a civil society aiming at developing social activities andfor children and youngsters. For this purpose, they have constructed a Celtic (5th – 1st century BC) near Prášily (Šumava) where they organise short and long stays and focus partly on the of the , partly on social aspects of their (and our) life.
The entrance gate resembles finds at the Nevezice oppidum in Southern Bohemia and measures 5 x 5 metres in plan. Connected to it is a 40 metres long part of fortification using walls, filled up with earth. The rampart is is 2,5m high and 3m wide. There is the palisade 3m high on the rampart's upper edge. Inside, there is a log cabin and a log house, a potter’s shelter and a / workshop. Several types of roofing and walling are tried out.
