The Culinaria on the Whitsunday weekend are designed together with the 1st Roman Cohort Opladen, which makes their supply tent accessible to the visitors. Of course, the fireplaces in the fort are in operation, the ovens are smoking, and the pots and pans simmer and sizzle. How to prepare pastries with the Roman frieshell, bake bread in the clay digester, or prepare the different dishes over the open fire, will be shown this weekend. There is, of course, a wealth of background and information.
If you want, you can also have a Roman meal at the Café Taberna.
